• Mari Boya gets there more determined than ever to show a good performance in front of his home fans.

• Boya: “I am looking forward to the arrival of the weekend and to performing at my best level to obtain the results we are deserving”.

Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine is back. The championship is facing its final stages and Round 8 will take place this weekend. Circuit Ricardo Tormo, located in Valencia, will host the meeting. Mari Boya therefore faces the second racing weekend of the year at his home country.

Circuit Ricardo Tormo was placed on the schedule following the cancellation of the round at Nürburgring. The track consists of 4,005 kilometres and 14 corners. It is a short, technical circuit, and a big challenge for the drivers. Boya already knows the track as he raced there in Formula 4 Spanish Championship, in 2020. There, the young Spaniard achieved a podium.

The talented Van Amersfoort Racing driver will try to consolidate his pace and his potential in front of his home crowd. Boya comes from two weekends on which his pace and effort were magnificent, but the hard work was not converted into good results. The driver will fight to revert the situation ahead of the end of the season. Qualifying well will be, once again, the key to achieve the expected result.

This weekend, Boya will have extra support as spectators will be allowed into the track. The driver will therefore be cheered by the Spanish fans, making the weekend more special. On the previous meeting held in Spain, at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Boya claimed his best result of the season.

Boya: “It is a pleasure to be back in Spain and race for my fans. I am looking forward to the arrival of the weekend and to performing at my best level to obtain the results we are deserving. We come here with good feeling and motivation. The team and everyone working to put us at the top are making huge efforts and I thank them for that”.
