Mari Boya keeps making steps forward on his career. After his great Formula 4 debut season, in he was vice-champion, the driver is already focused on 2021. He participated this week in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine ‘Rookie test’ after being invited by Renault Sport. Boya had the opportunity to increase his mileage and learning with the Formula Regional car in Paul Ricard Circuit.

Eight of the teams that will be in 2021’s grid were on the test. Boya completed these two days with French team R-Ace GP. Alongside him were another young, promising drivers, all of whom are looking forward to secure a seat on the series for the upcoming season.

For Boya, this was just the beginning of a learning and preparation process to be as ready as possible when the season begins. The Tatuus T-318 is a new car for him. The engine is more powerful, and the tyre supplier is new for Boya, so he will have to properly adapt in order to obtain good results. The first sensations are positive, and the driver feels ready to keep adapting as he usually does when he steps up to a new category.

"I have really enjoyed this opportunity and I thank Renault Sport for inviting me to this test. I feel comfortable un the car, but there is still many work to do during the upcoming months. I take a lot of experience and learning from these testing days. I am looking forward to keep training and to jump into the car again. I want to thank the team, my family and everyone who is supporting me and helping me to grow as a driver”, Boya commented on his participation in the test.

Preparation for 2021 season has just begun and the Spaniard driver now faces months of training and preparation that will be a key factor when the races begin. The objective will be to learn and grow as a driver.
