Round 5 of Formula 4 Spanish Championship season, held in Motorland Aragon, turned out to be a weekend to remember for Mari Boya. The MP Motorsport driver was one of the men of the weekend after obtaining two race win and a third position. Boya put into practice everything he has been learing during the season to achieve his best results of the year.

The weekend began on a high as he secured Pole position for Races 1 and 2. These privileged positions would be eventually converted into two race wins. Boya had to defend the lead in both races, managing his tyres while keeping an eye on the drivers he had behind. The Spanish driver delivered in Saturday’s long race and in Sunday’s shorter one. He claimed his second and third wins this season.

Boya was clearly having a great feeling in Motorland and the weekend was going perfectly for him. He finished Race 3 in third position after qualifying fourth. For the second time this season, Boya managed to end all three races on the podium.

In this season of learning, growth and adaptation, Boya has proved to be able to drive mature and intelligently. Hard work is paying off and his growth as a driver is progressing as planned after his karting success. There is always work to do and room for improvement, but we are surely working on the right direction.

"I worked with my engineer and my coach to properly face the weekend and we were strong since the beginning. We saw on Friday testing where could we improve and we saved something for the weekend. We shown it on Saturday by taking double Pole and a win. I am very happy with how that day went. We wrapped up the weekend on Sunday winning the second race and finishing third on the last one after some difficult opening laps. I thank the team, my family, Monlau and my coach for their support”, Boya stated at the end of the weekend.

Formula 4 Spanish Championship will return next weekend with Round 6 of the season, which will be held in Jarama Circuit as a new Racing Weekend meeting.
